摘要: OBJECTIVE To assess comparative changes in systolic and diastolic blood pressure incidence of high over 4 years, factors related to these changes, northern southern, urban rural adults the People's Republic China. SETTING This is a prospective study populations surveyed by standardized methods 1983-1984 1987-1988 north China, Beijing area steel mill workers farmers, south Guangzhou shipyard farmers. SUBJECTS The subjects were 8805 men women aged 35-54 years at baseline (1983-1984), whom 7338 non-hypertensive (systolic < 140, 90 mmHg, not being administered antihypertensive drugs).
