摘要: Learner's motivation is one of the main aspects that need to be addressed for a successful learning process. Consequently, learner assessment and measurement have attracted significant research interest in e-learning area general game-based particular. Traditional methodologies analysis rely on data collected through questionnaires. However, this approach does not fit well context learning, because an out-of-game questionnaire breaks game user's flow immersion. This paper presents novel electroencephalography (EEG) sensor-based methodology supports real-time non-disturbing automatic learner's learning. An evaluation case study with participants playing educational was conducted order investigate feasibility proposed compare intrinsic inventory-based methodology. The results has shown outperforms traditional questionnaire-based limited analysing short game-playing durations, while losing its when overall over long duration. Results changes time during game-play period self-report his/her motivation, assessed methodology, tends reflect only last moments before answered. Conversely, EEG more suitable analyse both durations (e.g. tasks, levels, etc.), additional benefit interrupting breaking immersion game.
