摘要: Structural studies by X-ray crystallography have been carried out for a range of phenyl bismuth halides and halogenoanions. The complexes [BiPhBr2(thf)]1 [BiPhI2(thf)]2(thf = tetrahydrofuran) form one-dimensional polymeric chains with single asymmetrically-bridging halide between each pair adjacent atoms. co-ordination geometry around the centre is that square-based pyramid group in apical position two cis halides, bridging from an monomer unit thf ligand basal plane. Addition [NEt4]I to 2 affords ionic species [NEt4]2[Bi2Ph2I6]·Et2O 3 which contains discrete dimeric [Bi2Ph2I6]2– anion. This anion comprises edge-shared pyramids angle 105.2° planes. As 1 2, occupies site sites occupied terminal iodides. complex [BiPh2Br(thf)]5 monomeric has equatorially vacant trigonal-bipyramidal groups occupy equatorial bromine axial sites. structure [PPh4][BiPh2Br2]6 [BiPh2Br2]– anions similar found 5. Comparisons are made, where appropriate, related tellurium(IV) compounds, nature bonding discussed particularly regard details secondary, intermolecular bonds observed structures 1–3.
