摘要: Objective To assess racial and ethnic disparities in satisfaction with doctors health providers the United States. Design Analyses were based on cross-sectional data from a healthcare module added to 2000 Behavior Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS), completed by 3 US states. Methods Cross-tabulations multiple logistic regression. Five models estimated dependent variables involving last 12 months respect how carefully they listen patient, explain so patient can understand, show for what has say, spend enough time overall performance. Independent considered included race/ethnicity, age, gender, marital status, education, annual household income, regular physician, status. Results Hispanics, compared Whites, significantly more likely be dissatisfied their listen, explain, respect, them. This difference became insignificant after adjustment other independent models, exception of model listening carefully, where Hispanics (OR=1.6, 95% CI=1.0-2.6), Blacks less (OR=0.3, CI=0.1-0.9). Each variables, except gender significant at least one physician status all models. Conclusions With listening, race/ethnicity is not directly associated considered.
