摘要: Interleukin-(IL-) 12 has been recently suggested to participate during development of insulin resistance in obese mice. Nevertheless, serum IL-12 levels have not accurately determined overweight and humans. We thus studied concentrations Mexican adult individuals, examining their relationship with low-grade inflammation obesity-related parameters. A total 147 healthy 43 normal weight, 61 overweight, subjects participated the study. Circulating IL-12, tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF- α ), leptin, insulin, glucose, cholesterol, triglyceride were measured after overnight fasting all study subjects. Waist circumference body fat percentage recorded for participants. Serum was significantly higher individuals than weight controls. Besides being strongly related mass index (r = 0.5154), exhibited a significant abdominal obesity 0.4481), 0.5625), glucose 0.3158), 0.3714), TNF- 0.4717). Thus, are increased show strong markers population. Further research is needed understand role developing obesity-associated alterations
