摘要: Between 1986 and 2010, homeowners renters dramatically changed their spending habits in response to changes the economy, although amount they spent on overall expenditures remained roughly same. A comparison of by major expenditure categories shows many differences, but one thing remains constant: housing is largest for U.S. consumers. This issue BEYOND THE NUMBERS uses data from Consumer Expenditure Survey (CE) compare with those renters, through 2010. The analysis CE helps shed light effects that recent crises had consumer spending, revealing interesting shifts other expenses, household size demographics, movement among geographic areas.
