摘要: This chapter demonstrates how functional blood and lymphatic vessels form in the embryo adult from vascular stem/progenitor cells, this knowledge has contributed to emergence of several cell-based approaches stimulate vessel growth preclinical clinical settings. Nearly all tissues higher vertebrates are supplied by dependent on two largely separated but functionally complementary circuits, one carrying cells for oxygen nutrient delivery other recirculating immune extravasated tissue fluid or lymph. Not surprisingly, developmental defects either these important systems usually incompatible with life cause severe morbidity. In addition, dysfunction lack later underlies numerous life-threatening diseases, such as ischemic disorders lymphedema. Therefore, unraveling cellular molecular players formation both is invaluable designing therapeutic interventions correct defects.
