摘要: Lateral grafting of small pieces midregion tissue into different levels the hydra body column was done to assess influence host hypostome and basal disc (or, underlying morphogenetic gradients) in inducing secondary structures transplanted tissue; also identify role, if any, induced perturbed morphogen on pattern host. The same midpiece differentiated a when grafted near hypostome, with tentacles disc. Chimeras discs showed phenomenal increase budding compared controls chimeras having hypostomes. These results indicate positive cross-reaction between both organizing regions during patterning hydra.
