摘要: Finger millet (Eleusine coracana L. Gaertn.) ranks third in production among the dry land cereals. It is widely cultivated Africa and South Asia where soil salinization a major constraint. potential crop for salt affected soils. To identify tolerant germplasm, minicore finger germplasm (n = 80) was screened grain yield performance saturated with NaCl solution of 100 or 125 mM. Genotype effect significant most traits, while salinity × genotype interaction only one year. Salinity delayed phenology, marginally reduced shoot biomass yield. There large range genotypic variation under other traits. The loss higher accessions prolific growth associated saline yields. Based on yields, were grouped to four groups top group had 22 IE 4797 remaining at top. no adverse impact five accessions. Root anatomy selected pearl showed presence porous cortex well fortified endodermis that can exclude Na+ enhance N absorption.
