摘要: Historically, connectionist systems have not excelled at representing and manipulating complex structures. How can a system composed of simple neuron-like computing elements encode relations? Recently, researchers begun to appreciate that representations extend in both time space. Many proposed the synchronous firing units representations. I identify limitations this approach present an asynchronous model binding effectively represents The extends approach. argue our cognitive architecture utilizes similar mechanism.
