摘要: * Abbreviation: LRI — : lower respiratory infection Since October 1, 2012, the Hospital Readmission Reduction Program, established by Affordable Care Act, has imposed financial penalties on hospitals with high readmission rates for targeted conditions covered Medicare. This program led to reductions in readmissions even that were not initially such penalties.1 Although this almost exclusively Medicare, and thus adult patients, some limited state programs have begun targeting pediatrics.2 Because incentives are likely here stay, understanding pediatric is key policymakers, hospital administrators, clinicians.
