摘要: Since 1996, China's energy output has dropped by 17%, while primary use fallen 4%, driven almost entirely shrinking from coal mines and declining direct use. China is the world's second-largest emitter of greenhouse gases, it important to understand sources this apparent transformation, whether portends a permanent change in patterns This remarkable reversal long-term expansion occurred even as economy continued grow, albeit more slowly than early 1990s. Generation electric power risen, implying steep fall end uses, particularly industry. Available information points variety forces contributing phenomenon, including rapid improvements quality, structural changes industry, shutdowns factories both state-owned non-state segments economy, end-use efficiency, greater gas electricity households. A combination slowing economic growth, industrial restructuring, broader system reforms, environmental energy-efficiency policies apparently led at least temporary decline in, perhaps reduction growth use, therefore emissions.
