摘要: In the design of tolerance allocation cost–tolerance function is usually employed to represent objective which be minimized. The traditional functions in literature are concerned with only one characteristic. this paper we obtain a bivariate describe relationship between cost and tolerances two characteristics (i.e. thickness inner diameter) lock wheel. Then loss combined determine optimal for diameter wheel such that user's potential loss/cost may evaluated. When quality considered, both become tighter. By including effect product degradation, present work expected then introduced as performance measure. assuming linear drifts on wheels, model worth leads tighter characteristics. addition, longer planning horizon (or useful life product) larger discount rate results looser Copyright © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
