Evaluating and Selecting the Best Outsourcing Service Country in East and Southeast Asia: An AHP Approach

摘要: Over the last two decades, outsourcing has been considered a key component for business performance through which firms can narrow their operations and focus on core competencies. Before doing that, it is vital to evaluate determine best destination. Unfortunately, only few studies have done help make decisions in relation evaluating potential partner. In addition, most existing emphasized specific field at company level, so complete framework this never before. This study therefore attempts address research gap by constructing an hierarchy model with four levels, namely overall goal, criteria, sub-criteria, alternative use of AHP approach. here, criteria would include important attributes, are (1) cost competiveness, (2) human resources, (3) environment, (4) government policies. Each criterion itself also consists several-sub criteria. With respect these seven typical countries East South Asia (China, Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam) were selected serve as alternatives. As result, weight higher priority, more or will be. results show that competiveness factor second level dominance employee salary, taxes, freight prices, real estate costs respectively third level. Corresponding this, China Additionally, Vietnam, Thailand emerging three attractive due positive change policies well improvements resources national infrastructure. Generally, not enriches literature, but provides readers decision-makers comprehensive view toward given field.
