摘要: Process plants that produce chemical products through pre-designed processes are fundamental in the Chemical Engineering industry. The safety of hazardous processing plants is paramount importance as an accident could cause major damage to property and/or injury people. HAZID is a computer system helps designers and operators process plants identify potential design operation problems given process plant design. However, there are issues need be addressed before such will accepted for common use. This research project considers how improve usability acceptability a system by developing tools test developed models order for users gain confidence s output model based with library of equipment models. also investigates development computer-aided safety applications they can integrated together extend support different kinds safety-related reasoning tasks. Three one have been from this project. The first called Model Test Bed, which correctness built. second Safe Isolation Tool, define isolation boundary hazards work. third Instrument Checker, lists all instruments their connections items engineers consider whether instrument its loop provide safeguards equipment during hazard identification procedure. fourth cause-effect analysis automatically generate tables control table shows events corresponding responses designed engineer. The thesis provides full description above four into perform process plants.
