摘要: Corneal perforations can result from a wide variety of disorders and lead to devastating visual sequelae. Various surgical procedures have been described manage nontraumatic corneal perforation. Conjunctival flaps offer an important technique in dealing with such emergencies. We report modified conjunctival flap procedure referred as superior forniceal advancement pedicle (SFCAP) the successful management perforation impending Out 20 patients who underwent SFCAP for non-traumatic perforation, 16 had perforations. Perforations were secondary acne rosacea (2), advanced bacterial keratitis (6), anaesthesia(2), multiple retinal previous grafts compromised ocular surface (3), Mooren's ulcer (1). The globe was preserved all patients. In 14 eyes perforated corneas stabilised. One patient, chronic alcoholic, rubbed eye during sleep detaching week after surgery. However, healed integrity restored. None these developed glaucoma or ptosis. is appropriate where donor material not available transplantation tissue suitable.
