摘要: Broadening the genetic base is essential for improvement of lint yield and fi ber quality in upland cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.). An exotic germplasm population derived from multiple crosses between G. barbadense L. was obtained USDA-ARS at Las Cruces, NM. Experiments were designed to evaluate this genotypic variation quality. Two hundred lines ve cultivars planted two locations 2006 one location 2007. Signifi cant (P ≤ 0.001) identifi ed. In path coeffi cient analysis, bolls per square meter had largest direct effect on yield, while boll weight percentage secondary effects yield. Lint negatively associated with seed favorably correlated percentage, elongation, span lengths, neness. Based stepwise 50% length, short content, neness, maturity ratio, 2.5% length contributed strength, decreasing order signifi cance. Short content neness (r = –0.41). These results indicate that a useful resource quality, analysis interrelationships
