摘要: Layered double hydroxides (LDHs) have been known for many decades as catalyst and ceramic precursors, traps anionic pollutants, catalysts additives polymers, but their successful synthesis on the nanometer scale a few years ago opened up whole new field application in nanomedicine. The delivery of drugs other therapeutic/bioactive molecules (e.g., peptides, proteins, nucleic acids) to mammalian cells is an area research that tremendous importance medicine provides manifold applications any developments nanotechnology. Among different nanoparticles shown facilitate gene and/or drug delivery, LDH attracted particular attention owing desirable properties. This review aims report recent progress using nanoparticles. It summarizes advantages disadvantages carriers acids against general background bottlenecks are encountered by cellular systems. describes further models proposed internalization into so far discusses intracellular fate particles cargo. authors offer some remarks how this will near future which challenges need be overcome before can used clinical setting.
