摘要: Background and Objectives Disease-specific survival (DSS) for GC patients differs in Eastern Western countries. The aim is to compare outcomes of US Korean following resection early-stage, node-negative gastric carcinoma (GC). Methods All (1995–2005) with T1N0 carcinoma, excluding gastroesophageal tumors, were evaluated. DSS was compared by adjusting prognostic variables from an internationally validated nomogram. Results The cohort included 598 159 patients. Age BMI significantly higher Distal tumor location more frequent Korea (60% vs. 52%) proximal the (19% 5%, P < 0.0001). Five-year did not differ between US. After multivariate analysis, persisted, no significant differences when (HR = 1.2, 95% CI: 0.3–5.2, P = 0.83). Conclusions Despite widespread speculations that East West, we similarly staged, patients, This suggests a heterogeneous disease similar subtypes cancer are compared, these disappear. study similarities than previously hypothesized J.
