摘要: Parkinson's disease (PD) is a chronic, neurodegenerative with 1% incidence in the population over 55 years of age. Movement impairments represent undoubtedly hallmark disorder; however, extensive evidence implicates cognitive deficits as concomitant peculiar features. Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) colocalizes dopamine neurons substantia nigra, where dopaminergic cell bodies are located, and it has recently garnered attention molecule crucial for cognition, function that also compromised PD patients. Thus, due to its colocalization role BDNF might possess dual PD, both neuroprotective molecule, since inhibition leads loss nigral neurons, neuromodulator, enhanced expression ameliorates processes. In this review, we discuss mechanism action established well novel drugs particular emphasis those interfering biosynthesis.
