摘要: An improved, safer and mild method was proposed for the exfoliation of graphene like sheets from graphite to be used in fuel cells. The major aim is reduce number layers material produce large quantities bundles as catalyst support polymer electrolyte membrane Graphite oxide prepared using potassium dichromate/sulfuric acid oxidant acetic anhydride intercalating agent. oxidation process seemed create expanded leafy structures layers. Heat treatment samples led thermal decomposition into carbondioxide water vapor which further swelled layered graphitic structure. Sonication created more separated structures. Morphology sonicated exhibited layer formed some tullelike translucent crumpled sheets. procedure applied capable reducing average 86 raw nine graphene-based nanosheets. Raman spectroscopy analysis showed significant reduction size in-plane sp2 domains of nanosheets obtained after oxide.
