摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter focuses on the thioredoxin and seed proteins. Storage proteins, which are formed stored within seeds, serve as main source of nitrogen a primary carbon for germination growth seedlings. proteins synthesized after pollination accumulate during maturation. The mobilized, proteolytically degraded, utilized when conditions favorable germination. In case cereals, bulk storage water insoluble grains mature. most other types remain soluble enclosed membrane, thereby creating structure known protein body. some body membrane is disrupted maturation drying grain, exposing to endogenous proteases endosperm. Disulfide bonds one stabilizing forces in formation disulfide appears function cereals provide increased structural stability hand decreased solubility other. Both features protection against proteolysis.
