Prevalence of Toothache and Associated Factors: A Population-Based Study in Southeast Iran

摘要: Article Type: Original Introduction: This study was carried out to estimate toothache prevalence among adult residents in Kerman. Materials and Methods: cross-sectional, population-based conducted individuals aged over 18 years (n=1800). The relevant data on the of associated factors were collected by interviewing their homes filling a questionnaire designed examiners. Prevalence that patients recalled previous interview analyzed chi-square test multivariate logistic regression analysis. Results: Nine hundred ninety-one (55.1%) reported during 6 months before interview. participants who flossed daily, had regular dental visits, higher education showed significantly lower (P<0.05), whereas tooth brushing economic level residency no significant effect toothache. Individuals between ages 26 45 (odds ratio (OR)=2.0), with family size more than 4 (OR=1.5), not using floss or having mental psychological illness (OR=1.5) likely have history Conclusion: High (more half) Kerman shows serious major public health problem.
