摘要: Expression of the pro-opiomelanocortin (POMC) gene was examined in normal human lymphocytes and lymphocyte cell lines infected by lymphotropic viruses. POMC transcripts were detected using stringent RNA-RNA hybridizations. Low transcript levels found phytohemagglutinin-stimulated peripheral blood mononuclear cells tonsillar T B cells. The highest with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). However, viruses did not have increased transcripts. an EBV-transformed line affected dexamethasone or corticotropin-releasing hormone, known regulators anterior pituitary expression.
