摘要: A 64-year-old man with a tender mass at the ankle was found to have chondrosarcoma complicating synovial chondromatosis. Malignancy suspected on basis of clinical presentation rather than findings in plain radiographs or magnetic resonance images. Chondrosarcoma arising chondromatosis is very rare. Misinterpreting latter condition as malignant and former benign can be problematic, importance distinguishing two entities discussed.
