摘要: The present contribution illustrates how multifunctionality can be achieved in reinforced polymers and composite structures, using different types of polymer matrices various nano- microsized fillers/reinforcements. Besides the principle concepts, case studies are represented, illustrating ways to tailor property combinations for specific applications. latter include electrically conductive tribocomponents, toughened thermosets resin transfer molded lightweight thermoplastic nanocomposites sliding shoes bearings, erosion protected high-temperature coatings on pistons combustion engines, a training material medical operations throat.
