摘要: This chapter provides an introduction to the respiratory tract. There are three basic regions of tract, namely, extrathoracic region, tracheo-bronchial and alveolar region. The region is tract proximal trachea. a complicated geometry, which varies considerably from individual individual. Within individual, there can be considerable variation in shape oral cavity because changes position tongue jaws. Immediately distal sometimes also called “lower airways.” consists airways that conduct air larynx gas exchange lung, starting with trachea, passing through bronchi, stopping at end so-called terminal bronchioles. covered mucus layer overlays fine hair attached airway walls. cilia continually wave synch act clear throat where it swallowed or expectorated.
