摘要: Abstract Horseradish peroxidase enzyme catalyzes the oxidation of toxic aromatic compounds, especially phenols and amines, in presence hydrogen peroxide. The reaction products polymerize to form high molecular weight materials which readily precipitate from solution; hence, providing a means for treatment wastewaters contain compounds. catalytic lifetime horseradish can be extended by optimizing conditions such as pH temperature maintaining low instantaneous concentration mixture. catalyzed polymerization process was implemented continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) configuration because reactant concentrations are lowered immediately upon entering causing reduction inactivation HRP through free radical bonding compound III formation. Catalytic turnovers achieved single multiple CSTRs series were significantly higher than those observed batch reactors when sufficient retention time provided.
