摘要: Imaging of nuclear fuel using radiation has been carried out for decades a variety reasons. Two important reasons are Physical Inventory Verification (PIV) and Quality Assurance (QA). The work covered in this review focuses on the imaging ionising radiation. fuels investigated both fresh spent, composed assorted materials, various physical forms. radiations used to characterise include γ, α, β, muons, neutrons X-rays. research review, spans past four show how technology developed over that time. advancement computing greatly helped with progression images produced. field began 2D black white showing density profiles rays from within an object, culminating 2013 when pebble bed element was reproduced 3D each 0.5 mm UO2 globule it. With ever increasing available industry, can only mean increase rate development technologies like those review.
