摘要: Asians and Latinos are the 2 fastest growing immigrant populations in United States. In this 3-year longitudinal study, we explored trajectories of mental health symptoms (withdrawn/depressed somatic symptoms) among 163 first- second-generation Asian (n = 76) Latino 97) adolescents. The focus study was to examine how ethnic identity U.S. identity, as separate processes development, affect symptoms, whether these relationships moderated by group, or Latino. Participants were recruited when they entered 10th grade, additional waves data gathered at 12-month intervals. Results revealed that depressed decreased over time for both groups. Similarly, groups, increased time. Ethnic associated with lower levels withdrawn/depressed youth. youth, but not reduced either group. Implications clinicians discussed.
