摘要: Managing the growing population of deteriorated transportation infrastructure systems (i.e. highway bridges) and being able to accurately inspect them in a timely cost effective manner is major societal challenge within United States today. A multi-modal remote sensing system (MRSS) that will be used as next generation rapid, distant, interrogation technology for bridge inspection proposed. In proposed MRSS technology, advantages nondestructive testing (local inspection) structural health monitoring (global, continuous monitoring) are combined by using wave imaging radar (CWIR), digital image correlation (DIC), fiber optic sensors (FOS). represents next-generation portable efficient inspection, evaluation rating bridges.
