摘要: Angiogenesis, a process of new blood vessel formation from the pre-existing vascular bed, is critical event in various physiological and pathological settings. Over last few years, role endothelial cell (EC) metabolism angiogenesis has received considerable attention. Accumulating studies suggest that ECs rely on aerobic glycolysis, rather than oxidative phosphorylation pathway, to produce ATP during angiogenesis. To date, numerous regulators glucose metabolism, fatty acid oxidation, glutamine have been identified modulate EC angiogenic switch The unique glycolytic feature for proliferation, migration, responses environmental changes. In this review, we provide an overview recent studies, particularly quiescent ECs. We also summarize discuss potential therapeutic strategies take advantage metabolism. elucidation metabolic regulation precise underlying mechanisms could facilitate drug development targeting treat angiogenesis-related diseases.
