摘要: Abstract Tumor cell extravasation into the brain requires passage through blood–brain barrier, which is a highly protected microvascular environment fortified with tight junction (TJ) proteins. TJ integrity can be regulated under physiological and pathophysiological conditions. There evidence that exercise modulate oxidation status within microvasculature protect against tumor metastasis formation. In order to study these events, mature male mice were given access voluntary on running wheel (exercise) or locked (sedentary) for five weeks. The average distance was 9.0 ± 0.2 km/day. Highly metastatic cells (murine Lewis lung carcinoma) then infused internal carotid artery. Analyses performed at early stage (48 h) late (3 weeks) post infusion. Immunohistochemical analysis revealed fewer isolated extravasating both 48 h 3 weeks surgery in exercised mice. Occludin protein levels reduced sedentary group, but maintained group These results indicate may participate modulating barrier thereby protecting during progression.
