摘要: Carotid-femoral pulse wave velocity (cf-PWV) is a validated marker of arterial stiffening over the central arteries. Brachial-ankle (ba-PWV) integrates mechanical properties from both and peripheral arteries may be more representative than cf-PWV as load for left ventricle (LV). We compared ba-PWV with association cardiovascular structure function in 320 subjects various degrees abnormality cardiac function. (by oscillometric technique) tonometric were measured simultaneously, highly correlated (r=0.79, P<0.001). Both significantly LV mass, but correlation was better (r=0.29 vs r=0.22, P=0.0219). While similarly end-systolic elastance mitral E/A ratio, had isovolumic relaxation constant (r=0.34 r=0.27, P=0.0202) cf-PWV. In addition, also stronger other indices stiffness, including carotid incremental modulus (r=0.59 0.50, P=0.0013), effective (r=0.41 r=0.33, P=0.0081) augmentation index (r=0.38 r=0.32, P=0.0368). conclusion, correlates mass diastolic cf-PWV, probably because encompasses greater territory tree
