摘要: The ability of monkeys to attribute mental states such as ignorance each other was examined in two experiments using four captive groups Japanese and rhesus macaques, Macacafuscata M. mulatta. In the first experiment, females were shown food or a predator, either presence their offspring alone, determine whether they would attempt alert ignorant more than knowledgeable ones. behaviour mothers appeared be unaffected by knowledge offspring. second juvenile dominant female isolated an enclosure with normally subordinate adult while juvenile's mother sat nearby behind glass barrier, opaque barrier one-way mirror. mirror condition, subjects could see mother, but she not them. under condition intermediate between that conditions. Subjects probably sensitive mother's orientation attentiveness, there no evidence recognized difference own visual perspective mother.
