摘要: Voltage-gated sodium channels constitute a group of membrane proteins widely distributed thought the body. In heart, there are at least six different isoforms, being Nav1.5 most abundant. The channel is composed an α subunit that formed by four domains segments each, and much smaller β subunits provide stability integrate other into subunit. function modulated intracellular cytoskeleton proteins, extracellular calcium concentration, free radicals, medications, among things. study its alterations has grown thanks to association with pathogenic conditions such as Long QT syndrome, Brugada atrial fibrillation, arrhythmogenic ventricular dysplasia complications during ischemic processes.
