摘要: The aim of this work was to develop and evaluate a minoxidil foamable emu oil emulsion with the purpose improving permeation into skin, increasing hair growth, reducing skin irritation, consumer compliance. Minoxidil dissolved in solvent system comprising ethanol: glycerin: lactic acid: water (10:20:5:65). prepared by mixing phase solution using different amount various emulsifiers. Seventeen formulations were most stable selected evaluated for pharmaceutical parameters such as homogeneity, pH, stability centrifugal stress, freeze-thaw foamability. adopted formulation showed good characteristics. In vitro release rate Franz diffusion cell phosphate buffer pH 7.4 ethanol receiver medium at sink condition. found obey Higuchi kinetic model. Experimental animal study performed growth potential formulation. Different cyclic phases follicles, like anagen, telogen phases, determined one month period. Histological after treatment exhibited greater number follicles anagenic (96%) which higher compared marketed 5% (Pakdaru® 70%) control group (42%). From it concluded that significant potency promoting comparison Pakdaru®.
