摘要: This report will be useful to advocates, clergy, service providers, policymakers, and others who support the inclusion of immigrant women in communities society. It presents findings from a two-year study exploring how nonprofit organizations religious congregations strive advance rights, economic standing, overall well-being low-income Latina immigrants Atlanta, GA; Phoenix, AZ; Northern Virginia, region within Washington, DC, metropolitan area. examines challenges that advocates these areas see grappling with on daily basis, as well broad array resources are offered address challenges. Among lack access health care inadequate transportation. In documenting transportation other challenges, highlights remarkable efforts groups assist contexts often shaped by strong anti-immigrant sentiment restrictive public policies.
