摘要: A traveling-wave THz photomixer based on a free-space optical-THz phase-matching scheme is proposed. dc-biased coplanar strip line fabricated low-temperature-grown GaAs serves as the active area of device, and illuminated by two noncollinear laser beams which generate interference fringes that are accompanied waves. The device with laser-power-handling capability over 300 mW 3-dB bandwidth 1.8 was experimentally demonstrated. results show photomixers have potential to surpass small-area designs.
