摘要: Objects driven through periodically modulated potential-energy landscapes in two dimensions can become locked to symmetry-selected directions that are independent of the driving force's orientation. We investigate this problem overdamped limit, and demonstrate crossover from free-flowing locked-in transport depend exponentially on an object's size, with exceptional selectivity emerging landscape's periodicity.
