Effects of combined intervention programmes for people with dementia living at home and their caregivers: a systematic review

摘要: OBJECTIVE: This study reviews the evidence for effects of combined intervention programmes both informal caregiver and person with dementia. METHOD: Systematic review. Electronic databases key articles were searched effect studies programmes, published between January 1992 February 2005. The resulting 52 reports scored according to set inclusion criteria. RESULTS: Twenty five relating 22 met Various aspects caregivers' mental health burden studied. Best results obtained regarding general health. Other often showed modest varying results. Caregivers' competence was less addressed. on cognitive physical functioning, behavioural problems survival persons dementia inconsistent, whereas their is positively affected admittance long stay care delayed. CONCLUSION: Combined may improve some, not all, functioning Care professionals must define programme goals target groups before advising clients a programme. Research focus that introduced fairly recently subgroups caregivers (female caregivers, depressed people dementia, minorities).
