摘要: : One of the most important tools in conservation biology is information on geographic distribution species and variables determining those patterns. We used maximum-entropy niche modeling to run models for 222 amphibian 371 reptile (49% endemics 27% threatened) which we had 34,619 single records. The planning region southeastern Mexico, 20% country's area, includes 80% herpetofauna, lacks an adequate protected-area system. probabilistic data build herpetofauna use prioritizing areas three target groups (all threatened endemic species). accuracy species-distribution was better than it all species. Forty-seven percent has been deforested additional with 13.7% 88.6% more native vegetation (76% 96% are outside current system) needed. There overlap 26 main selected conservation-area network prioritized preserve groups, proportion types needed their constant: 30% pine oak forests, 22% tropical evergreen forest, 17% low deciduous 8% montane cloud forests. fact that different require same habitat suggests forests support highest should therefore be given priority over other inclusion protected Mexico.
