Loss of arm function after stroke: measurement, frequency, and recovery

摘要: This study aims to establish the frequency of paralysis and other arm problems after stroke; recovery lost function; compare various tests affected arm. Thirteen per cent sample had no when first seen within 14 days. At 3 months 24 survivors moderate or severe paralysis; 57 could place nine pegs into holes 50 seconds; 19 significant sensory disturbance; 5 shoulder pain; 8 restricted passive movement; 17 some dominant Between 6 months, improvement motor power was in 40 patients, 13 patients improved their function. Severity initial an important prognostic factor.
