摘要: Traceability, the ability to track parts and products, is a necessity for many enterprise applica- tions. These include pilferage reduction, counterfeit prevention, targeted recalls. In this paper, we share lessons learned from comparative analysis of two state art traceability data management systems: federated system traceability; distributed distribution chain traceability. We have abstracted out characteristics systems built simple query execution models compare performance approach Using these abstract eval- uate how different parameters such as supply layout available infrastructure influence costs incurred. Based on comparison, provide guidelines businesses looking buy or build trace- system. This work an important step towards formal framework disparate systems, taking into account common industrial configurations.
