Long-period fibre grating fabrication with focused CO2 laser pulses

摘要: A new, simple method of fabricating long-period fibre gratings by direct exposure the to focused 10.6 /spl mu/m wavelength CO/sub 2/ laser pulses is presented. No ultraviolet used. Hydrogen loading found enhance writing sensitivity.
