摘要: Summary Despite the wholesale destruction of Britain's ancient woodland over centuries and neglect surviving remnants, this paper suggests that locally grown indigenous planting stock can be planted in appropriate locations order to create a close replica semi-natural woodland. The suitable mixtures trees shrubs well structured plantations is an approach establishment woodlands British Isles but could equally used elsewhere temperate world. This examines discusses practice woodland, based largely on natural processes with adaptations for human implementation.
