摘要: Abstract This communication demonstrates that fluorescence spectra of human aorta with good S N ratios can be collected using an optical fiber laser catheter. The performance this catheter is compared to a non-fiber optic collection system equivalent delivery/collection geometry. For given sample, lineshapes obtained the two systems are identical; differences in peak intensity related different efficiencies systems. It shown lineshape arterial tissue depends on geometry detection system, and due interaction absorption within artery wall. effect investigated systematically specially designed system. Results analyzed qualitatively simple, one-dimensional model fluorescence. With analysis, we present design requirements for which such geometric effects eliminated, show our satisfies these requirements.
