摘要: Abstract The extent of fouling control in air sparged submerged membrane systems is dependent on the hydrodynamic conditions generated by sparging and resulting shear stress induced onto membranes. Although optimal (i.e. bubble size frequency) that promote remain unclear, recent studies suggest pulse more efficient for than coarse sparging. present study demonstrated was substantially effective at transferring power to membranes Pulse required approximately 50% less spatial distribution not homogenous system; lower rates were observed zone influence bubbles. width gas increased with frequency, indicating frequency bubbles can be optimized minimize number spargers a system therefore total volume control.
