摘要: Abstract Radio frequency (RF) heating has been explored as a new method for postharvest pasteurization and disinfestations, but the non-uniform problem needs to be solved. In this study, an experimentally validated simulation model was developed investigate effects of applying surrounding polystyrene container on RF uniformity improvement in dried soybeans. The computer built soybeans with both low high moisture contents placed rectangular shaped polypropylene containers heated parallel plate system. Results showed that temperature greatly improved by placing soybean samples other than one. maximum difference index (UI) were reduced. inner corner radius 8 cm combined thickness could provide best This newly technique can easily implemented improve low-moisture legumes industrial applications. Industrial relevance disinfestations granular legumes, solved before being applied industry. A used demonstrate better material design ensuring good distributions practical treatments. optimal parameters from may save time reduce cost facilitate scaling-up treatment protocols.
