摘要: Abstract This experimental study was aimed to investigate the effect of elevated temperature on mechanical properties self-compacting mortars (SCMs) incorporating raw vermiculite (RVM) as partial sand replacement at substitution rates 10%, 20%, 30% and 40%. Within this scope, five SCMs series were prepared, including control mix consisting 40% RVM fine aggregate 0–2 mm particle sizes weight basis. A total 45 specimens 40 × 40 × 160 mm fabricated exposed water curing for 3, 28 90 days strength properties. 30 cube 50 × 50 × 50 mm in perform durability tests absorption, sorptivity, porosity density tests. The slump flow diameter, V-funnel viscosity performed evaluate fresh characteristics SCMs. subjected temperatures 300 °C, 600 °C 900 °C after 28 days then cooled room before performing experiments. results indicated that compressive flexural strengths all mixtures has decreased ages increases. loss remained very low compared samples ranges. Mini-slump values are acceptable consistency workability many applications. containing can be used production lightweight concrete with excellent such heat insulation.
